There are also several paid parking areas around Birdwood Avenue and Alexandra Avenue. On weekends and during school holidays, these areas can become busy, so I always recommend arriving 15 to 20 minutes early to avoid a last-minute stress rush with children, snacks, spare clothes and the inevitable missing shoe.

The gardens are generally open from early morning until sunset, which works perfectly with my preferred photography times.
